you could use any of them but if you crochet tightly then use a larger one.

I hate Walmart! But I'm not sure I'm crazy about an N. That's 2 sizes up.....

Check the gauge with the N but sooner or later you'll want an L for something, so if you need an excuse to head out...go for it.

i adjusted and used a smaller hook. i believe I used an I for the chain and a G for the rest of the scarf. It didn't turn out as long, but it still looked pretty!
