Standard Size for a RR

yarnwoman2004

Question

Can anyone please tell me how many rounds of a RR pattern is the "best" size for a baby blanket? I am using Bernat Coordinates, double strand, with a size J hook?

I will need to know the "standard/best" size also when you would crochet with a single strand of 4 ply yarn.

THANKS in advance for your responses.

:cheer Mine vary from about 32 inches upwards.

My latest is a 50 inch Rainbow but that is too big for a baby.

There would be too much spare blanket which then makes it awkward to hold baby comfortably.

I imagine you would not want to go over 36 inches for a baby blanket or knee rug.

I usually stop when I have finished a sequence of colours or when the colour runs out.

Have fun.
