Round Ripple HELP!!!!!!!!!

I am desperately trying to do a Round Ripple and I am STUCK!!

I am using this pattern

I keep getting stuck on row 5.It looks like I don't have enough stitches to do all the skipping??

I have tried 4 times to start this and I just don't know what my problem is.

Can anyone help me??

At the end of row 4 you should have 12 groups of (2dc,ch2,2dc). Do you have that many?

I do.

On the 5th row, where it says * 2 dc-ch 2-2 dc in the ch 2 sp, 1 dc in next dc, skip next 2 dc, 1 dc in next st. repeat from * is where my problem is. I don't have enough spaces it seems to do the 1 DC, skip the next 2 DC, 1 DC in next stitch. If I do all that, I skip a Ch 2 space and end up in a weird spot.

It sounds like you're ready to make the 'valley' . Smoosh the shell in the peak and get your dc in the very first one after the ch2 sp . then you dc down until you skip the 2 bottom dc's (one on each side) .

You know, it only took me 30 yrs to learn the granny square!!! LOL

But I am determined to make this pattern and NOT wait 30 yrs to figure it out.

Update!!! I *think* I finally have it~!!

I am on Row 8 and it is going well!!!
