Looking for...

Recommended Posts

I am new here and I am looking for a pattern that my mother did for me about 5 or 6 years ago. It was in a Vanna White book of patterns. You would get new patterns every month and you would put them in a binder. I do not know what the name of the pattern is or the name of the book. The pattern looks like snow flakes. Thank you in advance for helping me find this pattern.

I'm afraid there are quite a few snowflake patterns out there. Could you be more specific or post a picture?

Darski, I bought a pattern back in the 70s for a "Snowflake Layette". The stitch looks like the photo in the link you gave. Just so happens that I stumbled a duplicate of the booklet in a second hand store and picked it up last year. I'd be happy to trade you something for it, if you're interested. I found this link to an auction on ebay so you can see a photo of the booklet.

JD, that helps a lot. I believe that stitch pattern is called spider web, or something close to it. You should be able to find lots of patterns for it. Now that we know what it looks like, I'll bet someone finds it for you if you don't find it first.

It's called spider lace. I found these:

And I'm even fairly sure that I actually have a curtain done in the spider lace pattern at home in one of my Magic Crochet or Decorative Crochet magazines. I'll take a look tonight and let you know what issue it is in so you can maybe check on ebay for it.
