Cassette Tape Evening Bag with Cozy

I crocheted this evening bag with its own little cozy using recycled cassette tapes and ribbon yarn. I had crocheted with cassette tape before and found it a bit hard to crochet with. By adding one strand of Lion Brand ribbon yarn with two strands of cassette tape, the texture was much better. The hook moves so much smoother and the look of the two materials together is pretty.

I am constantly amazed by the things people here come up with. I love, love, love this purse and the idea of using old casettes. Since my hubby is putting all of my casettes on CD, I will soon have a ton of material to work with. Thanks for the pattern. (we need a smilie who is shaking his head in amazement, LOL)
