But it's well worth it! I spent the afternoon dying(after spending the morning at the oral surgeons... ). I did two skeins of Patons 100% Merino and I love the results!

My yarn smells like vinegar. Does it fade or should I wash it? If I wash it will the dye (kool-aid) fade?

I rinse mine in cold water to which I have added a little hair conditioner, and it smells nicer. If the dye is set it doesn't really come out in cold, by may run in hot (like felting)

Gorgeous! Just remember to wash your hands if you happen to walk past any sushi restaurants! You might end up on the table.
