Looking for a Cowboy theme

Hi, I am looking for a Cowboy theme throw. Probably Fillet, buy I plan to do it in yarn, not thread. Our preacher's little boy is going to be 3 & loves everything cowboy. They are redoing his room in this theme. Thought it would be neat.

but just to clarify.... Cowboy as in "wild west" or Cowboy as in 'nfl'

 

(here in Texas, saying cowboy means the football team )

I found an adorable pattern not for a throw but for a cowboy vest. It is in the book "Crochet for Kids: sweaters for infants...." by Ann Emery Smith. I found it through my local library, but you could try Amazon if you were interested in buying it. I can't find the book right this minute, but if I recall it was really adorable, and unfortunately I only have girls that aren't into that kind of thing so I won't be making it myself. It also had a "coon-skin" cap that you can crochet that I am considering making for my husband since he is into that kind of thing, thought it would be funny. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thank you for reminding me, here in Texas there are 2 kinds of Cowboys. I am looking for western theme. You have given me some great ideas so far. I didn't readily think of NFL, there is not much football watched in our house. My poor husband is the only male around here, 3 daughters & even the animals are all female
