can't wait to try the squiggle, and want to make a crocheted version of Martha's scarf...

all great names!

I love yarn, and as I get older, I get pickier (except when making big stuff) about which kinds of yarns I want to spend my pleasure time using<img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/cloud9.gif" />

I have to mention that the scarf that Katie made for me in the scarf swap is from the Crystal Palace Yarns Fling. It's really nice. I didn't realize what it was, but stumbled across it while surfing blogs a few nights ago. :computer I love it!

I've used fizz, squiggle (my favorite) and fling, too. I put the squiggle into a lovely scarf along with a nice ribbon yarn - and it turned out great!

Usually this is a high-end yarn - you'll pay anywhere from $7 to $10 a ball/skein for it. I find it around here (in FL) only in yarn stores. It's online though - try yarnmarket.com (I think?) for good prices on crystal palace. So far, that's the best I've seen - it doesn't seem to be too common on ebay yet.

Hope that helps!

It is fantastic with the ribbon yarn. I used one ball of squiggle (with a bit left over) and 1 and 1/2 ball of ribbon yarn (deco ribbon - also Crystal Palace, I think) for the scarf and fringe. It turned out great! It was a bit hard to work at first, but once I got the hang of it it came out quickly.

Good luck on your project

Melissa
