Does it look like some of the motifs were put on top of the mesh?

I see Irish mesh with 2 picots on most of it, done with tiny thread guaranteed to make one google-eyed!

I have a dress from 1907, and I treasure it. It is not as detailed, as it has some fine woven frabic in it, but the work is staggering. I have tried to copy some of it, but with thread that is at least big enough to see!

I think the piece is underpriced, seriously. I would hate to see someone buy this just to stick it in a closet. It belongs in a museum.

If you consider the prices paid for pretty ugly and nothing special wedding gowns these days, this is a good price for a priceless and timeless article of clothing. Just wear this with a simple underdress and you would have the wedding gown of the century
