I made the full sized greyhound from the greyhound crafts site. It looks more like an aardvark, but it should raise a few bucks for greyhound adoption.

This is an example of a greyhound snood - it's basically a hood to keep their ears warm.

If you want to make one, I would find a scarf pattern and just make it long enought to go around the hounds head. When it is long enough, sew the ends together.

HTH!

We have a greyhound, but I haven't made a coat or snood for ours. She stays in when it's cold. Besides we live in Florida, so it really doesn't get that cold here. You could make the coat with the pattern from the previous post, but just leave out the cable and puff stitches and just to single crochet instead. I'm thinking of doing that for our grey.

I agree about the full size one looking like and ant eater. I'm going to do one, but alter the nose pattern so that it is shorter. Our local Greyhound rescue group is always looking for ways to raise money.

Thanks for the link, but too complicated for me. I need simple;)

The Irish Fisherman sweater was the first thing I made after a 20 year hiatus and I had never read a pattern before. Her instructions are extremely easy and step by step. I'm very impressed with myself...LOL!! I finishing my 3rd one now and made 1 of her other sweaters as well...the other took just a few hours. I think you might want to give it a try. Also, she donates some of the proceeds to greyhound charity.

here is what I've done so far:
