Drew's Beanie

This is a beanie I made for my friend Drew (check out his beautiful music at http://www.myspace.com/drewsutherland).

 

It's a really simple pattern, but it's made from that "computerized" yarn that works up as a Fair Isle pattern when you knit it. It's not just for socks, as it turns out, nor just for knitting! This one's crocheted.

 

I wish this picture showed up the pattern better, it's quite stunning. Love this yarn: spectacular results for so little effort.

Thanks! The yarn is pricey (at least here in Oz - there's an entire thread where we Aussies are whining about yarn prices!) but one ball will make a hat or a pair of gloves/mittens or socks, and there's absolutely NO effort! The beanie is just SCs all around.

Great hat. I could not hear his music. The page would not display. I just wanted to add that I went to his My space page by looking up his name in the music directory, and I think he has a beautiful voice.
