Scarves in thick & think yarn

My parents gave me some yarn for Xmas, enough to make scarves from...but I don't really wear scarves much (the kids like to use them to strangle momma LOL), so I made these scarves and am sending them off to my mother, the accessory queen LOL!!

Thank you all!! Both are Moda Dea yarns (sp??) and I did a very simple pattern stitch of 1 sc, ch 1, sk 1, 1 sc across on each row. Can't wait for Mom to open the package!!!

I love Moda Dea yarn - they look great and the colors are so pretty too!!! She is going to love them - Maybe it was intentional that she just gave you just enough of yarn to make a scarf and knowing that you don't wear them either !!!

LOL Aunt B!!! When I told Mom to look for the scarves, I told her I'd made them from the thick & thin yarn...and she said "The stuff I gave you??" when I said yes she offered to pick up some more yarn for me to use for something for myself...but I told her I'm trying to cut down the stash, not add to it LOL!!!

 

But this might just mean that I'll wind up getting an odd skein or two from her just so that I can make her some more scarves LOL!!!
