Thread Snowpeople

I've been looking for a pattern for Snowpeople made from thread. The ones I saw were heavily starched and where 3D? Maybe they had been dried over a balloon or something like that. There was the father, mother and child. They were so cute and made such a pretty winter scene. I posted a request on Seeking Pattern but didn't get what I was looking for. I thought maybe someone on this page maybe knew where I could get the pattern.

 

Any ideas are appreciated.

sorry, I have not seen anything like the snow people you are asking for. But somewhere in a magic--decorative book a while back I saw there was a manger and set of people,,animals etc done in thread.. That was a while back so I have no idea what book or what year I saw it in.

Sounds familiar... maybe use a yarn pattern (like the http://www.wrights.com/class/12_xmas/crosnowman/crosnowman.htm ) and instead of stuffing you can use a balloon at the end, put it in, blow it up, stiffen it, then pop the balloon...

Thanks for the ideas. I just wish I had looked a little closer at them and maybe I could have at least seen how they were done. Next year when I'm at this house, I'll ask if I can look closer at them.
