Joanne's discontinued their yarn winder?!

I am actually getting a yarn winder.. finally!! My husband promised to get me one for Christmas I was saddened to see that Joanne's sold out of their yarn winder and states discontinued?..

My husband and I found one on Ebay at a decent price (not as good as Joanne's would have been with their coupon) Does anyone know why this was discontinued? Were/ are their problems with the model? I got the yarn winder by Royal.

I believe the yarn winder she was referring to is sold at the online Joann's store. I had looked at it last week but was unaware they were discontinuing it. I've read good things about that winder.

The main reason the stores dicontinue items is usually poor sales... but who knows.

I have the Royal yarn winder and think it's wonderful. A friend of mine had the winder that Joann's sold and I think that it's not as good as the Royal.

JoAnn's did sell the Royal at one time anyway. That's the one I have.
