Casual Poncho

I really love this poncho pattern tons. Poncho

 

But of course it's a knit. I like the straight hem and the complete casualness of the whole thing.

 

I'm not experienced enough to try to convert it to a crochet pattern so if anyone has seen anything similar I'd love to know where to look. Thanks!!

you could just make two rectangles and attach them OR .. make a square with a slit in the middle.. like a keyhole scarf.. very simple..

lol. Can you tell I'm one of those people who can never find her glasses only to have hubby tell me to look on my head?

 

Of course there would be a solution as simple as sewing two rectangles together... I was certainly overthinking that pattern, lol.

 

I was trying to figure out how to make the square and leave the slit in it for my head. I've never done anything like that yet.

oh that part is super easy tooo.. just start your square .. and when you get to how ever long you want it in the front.. crochet over to where you want the slit to start then instead of working in those stitches chain how ever many to mak your opening then continue on the other side as usual.. then on the next round you just crochet in the chains and VOILA! YOU HAVE A SLIT
