You have a really nice blog and some good patterns.

 

I was wondering..... both patterns 'childs warm winter hat' and 'shawl' don't say anything about how many chains to make at the beginning of either one.

How many chains do we make for each pattern?

I've totally embarrassed myself. I went back and looked. Sure enough, plain as day, there was the chain instructions. I can't believe that I couldn't see them before but that's what happened.
