blocking help

Is this what you all mean when you talk about blocking? This is my first time and would love it if anyone had any pointers or advice to help me do this right. Thanks for looking and for any help:)

You did a good job of blocking your doily. You pretty much did what I do. Use foam,, pins,, and if its hot outside I put it in the car it dries faster in a hot car,,, or a very lowest or warm oven on a cookie sheet,,, but do not put the pins in the oven the plastic tips will melt.

WOW, you sure used lots of pins. Its nice to see an example of the correct way to do it.
