I thought I had an original idea!

Turns out my *original* idea has already been done. But I am muddling through anyway.

 

My nephew (2) LOVES Elmo. So I thought I'd make him an Elmo hat, complete with eyes and big orange nose. After starting my project, I thought to search (Google it!) for Elmo hats online.. just to see if there was such a thing.

 

There is .... Elmo hat ... and she is selling them. Cuteness! )

 

My hat will be different... I am going to crochet the eyeballs.. because google eyes might come off and choke the 8 month old. :eek2

 

I'll post pictures :camera when I am finished!

Of course you had an original idea, Deb! Maybe not a unique idea that nobody else had, but still original becuase you thought of it by yourself and worked it out by yourself.
