Appreciated crochet gifts

Recommended Posts

When my grandmother found out my daughter's room was purplel, she made her a purple and white afghan for Christmas. I was worried that being 10 she wouldn't appreciate it so I coached her on how much time it took and to act grateful, etc. It turns out I didn't need to-- she thanked her very well and I see her wrapped up in it a lot.

<span style="font-family:comic sans ms; color:purple;">That's great! It's good to see a younger child show appreciation for a handmade gift! <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/bounce012.gif" /></span>

All of my nieces and nephews have (what they call) TV blankets made by me. They :heart love :heart them.. so much so that I have been asked to do some repair work. :ha perhaps they love them too rough?

I agree =)

My MIL has warmed my heart in a big way, though I loved her already *g* I made her a blanket from LB Homespun for Christmas, and she's so thrilled with it she's been showing it off to everyone who comes over =) I even got a note from hubby's aunt (who helped me learn to do ripples) telling me how proud she and my MIL were of my skills and how far I've come in the past two years :sun I tell ya, that felt good, considering hubby's aunt is a *very* experienced crocheter.
