mixing these yarns?

i have

3 skeins, RH baby teri - pink

3 skeins caron baby cuddle soft - pink

1 skein RH cotton twist - pink

3 skeins RH baby teri - white

3 skeins RH cotton twist - white

 

all shades of pink are different, but go together well (imo)

do you think this mix of yarns and colors done in granny squares and put together will make an okay baby blanket?

 

i'm trying to de-stash and do gifts all at the same time

I see no problem with mixing the yarns. Sounds like it will be a lovely combination!!

thanks, chelle! i think i'll make some that are a mixture of the different yarns, and then some that are solid.... thought that might help 'bring it all together' ??

Rebecca I think that would look for neat. Lionbrand has an afghan book out using all different types of yarns together and I thought that most of them looked good.

I think they would be able to be mixed, as long as the wash instructions are basically the same. I have seen, on another site, but of course, I can't remember which one, an afghan done with regular worsted weight, the soft yarns, sport yarns, and it looked really nice. And yours will be definitely unique, which makes it even nicer. Can't wait to see a pic of when it's finished.
