i have a 14in x14in pilliow that i want to crochet a flag desighn on it to match with the flag afghan that im making does anyone have any idea how to make the design ?

Perhaps instead of actually making a flag emblem on the pillow form, it would be easier to incorporate different themes from the flag in a pillow case.

 

For example, do one side in red and white stripes - you could do them diagonally to add visual interest. On the other side, I would probably do a solid blue background in some interesting textured stitch, and then sew on white star appliques afterward.

 

After spending so much time and energy on the afghan, my guess is you won't want to make a pillow that's super complicated and will take tons of time, LOL.

I was thinking at first to make a flag pillow it should be rectangular instead of squared. But your idea is simpler and won't blend into the afghan, but compliment it instead...

Chris, if you want me to I can work out the design for you for a rectangular flag. Well, for most flags I could. The UK flag would be tough. The US flag I've worked with before. Just PM me. Oh, I would need your gauge and the size you want.
