I'm new here an figured I'd pass along these two web-sites.

 

www.bevscountrycottage.com/head-sizes.html

lists sizes of afghans from premies to full size afghans and lapgans.

 

 

www.yarnstands.com/weight.html a VERY USEFUL

 

lists sizes and plys of different weights of yarns, hook sizes, head and body sizes for hats/clothing. Yarn lable info. ; abbrevations.

It's worth checking out especially for someone new to crochet.

I looked at the link and "yarnstandards" made more sense than "yarnstands" so I tried that and it works.
