Can you felt more than one item at once?

I have several small items in the same yarn I want to felt. Can they all go in one pillowcase or will they felt to each other? I also have a purse and strap I want to felt, but if necessary I'll buy more pillowcases.

they are the same yarn? then yes you can put them together.. not the same yarn .. i learned the hard way ..

Actually, this weekend I felted 3 items that all matched. A tote, an accessory bag and a cell cozy. I figured since they were all made from the same yarn it would be ok to put them together. After the first washing when I checked the pillowcase, I had to pull apart the cell cozy and tote bag and they had felted together a bit. From now on I'll felt every item in their own pillowcases...

What happens when they are not made of the same yarn?

I often felt things made of different colored yarns in the same wash load, but in different pillowcases. I've never had a problem with that. (Actually, I think they felt faster when I do that--more agitation, I guess.) I've never tried putting them in the same pillowcase, though.

Hmm, that's interesting and a good tip. Why don't the sides of bags felt together?
