I e-mailed the seller yesterday and she just e-mailed back. It is (or was) up for auction at the designers daughters request. The designer is very sick and her pattern here was being auctioned off to help pay for medical expenses.

You did a good thing Drew

Could be Beth, but from the sound of this lady's e-mail back to me, and this that was also posted in the ad;

Auction includes the original instructions for creation.

I just assumed they were both one in the same lady.

This afghan was created from a pattern by Annie's Attic as part of the Award-Winning Afghans set.

The ghan just arrived! I had forgotten just how amazing this is in person (the one I made was for a Christmas gift several years ago and I haven't seen it since). Anyone out there having trouble getting motivated to make this one, I have to say that it's well worth the effort!!!

Hi Kathryn, that's a great question! At this point it's all about time. I don't have much extra time to crochet for myself anymore. I'm not complaining!! I'm very grateful to be so busy!

 

Plus I hated to see it going for only $32!!
