Steering Wheel Cover

Has anyone ever crocheted a cover for there steering wheel. I was think of trying to figure it out. But I don't know what kind of yarn would work the best?Any Ideas would be great

I wrote and posted a pattern for one in the Original Patterns forum. I used WW cotton yarn for mine; the pattern has been tested by a couple of people already and they said it works fine. Here's the link:

I saw a pattern in an old Annies Attic magazine. It was crocheted the other way...lengthwise and had an elastic threaded through it....I will try to locate it.

I never gave a thought to crochet a steering wheel cover, how cool would that be, nice fun fur style, like the ones back in the 60's and 70's, lol! We have a leather steering wheel, or else I'd do one. Gives a personality to the car, don'tcha think? Let us know how it turns out if you make one!!
