help!

i finally was able to get the link to picture-

 

this is my LARGE hat-fits over an 8 qt pot

i haven't rewashing it-

does anyone have ideas for something to make from it if felting again doesn't help.

Did you use 100% wool? Not the superwash?

Try rewashing it! I think it still will felt quite a bit. Make sure you use hot to wash and cold to rinse! And not too much soap- just a smidge! It looks like you can still see the stitches so i really think it will shrink a lot for you! Good Luck!!!! I love the color of your hat.

I couldn't see the photo but if it doesn't felt make a bag out of it?

i felted my bag for the cal and the tea cozie-i ran the washing machine 2 times-

tomorrow i will do the hat again-

It may take several runs through. Make sure you put it in a bag or something and add a few pairs of jeans. Run it through and when it gets to rinse, start the wash process again.

 

Also, if it's not working, get a dishpan and fill it with ice water and ice cubes. Take the hat from the hot washer and plunge it in the ice bath and then wring it out and toss it back in the hot water a few times. This did help with something I was doing, but it was a royal pain.

 

Keep us posted and we'll go from here. (Pretty colors in the hat)
