Hello and Welcome

I find out the quickest & easiest way to make a nice baby blanket is to use Bernat Baby Blanket yarn.  It work up fast because that is a thicker yarn. I made many blankets using that yarn. Here is a picture of one of them. It was very simple to make that. I used hdc stitches for every row. I did not used any pattern.

You can make them bigger or smaller, any size you want. By making a swatch you will be able to figure it out how many chains you need to start with to get the size you would like.

That blanket on that picture was a lot bigger than "normal" size baby blankets. I would call that a crib size

Looking for a baby blanket (girl) pattern and also the type of yarn to use. Any help would be appreciated. Please not a complicated one just one that is simple to make.

Most patterns will indicate the yarn that is used.  You can change to a similar type yarn.
