I'm crocheting the Red Heart Holly Table Runner - pattern LW 2622.  I don't understand how to join the side edgings/borders to the

long side borders.  The instructions don't seem correct.  Can you help?

Under finishing section it says to sew border and edge rows together.  In pattern borders are long sides and edges are short sides.  Pattern seems unusual to me as I would have preferred to work the border in one going around rather than each end and side separately then sewing them together.

   The only thing I could think of is the designer couldn't figure out how to turn the corners!
