Lapghan question

I have made 3 "lapghans" that look like great big granny squares. All three have a "twist"/spiral to them when you lay them out. Did I use to big of a crochet hook? Any ideas on what went wrong?

Hi Ladysnow, Maybe you put too many chains between the 3 dc shells?

Did you go around and forget to, join with a slip stitch, chain three, turn.That 3 chain counts as first dc,so you'd need to do 2 more dc inthe same space as those 3ch and then continue as you were. I hope that makes sense. Also your tension or gauge changes with your mood so if you feel up tight you should use a slightly larger hook but thats your call. Its hard to say as you haven't said what stitches you used. Goodluck

I remembered to slip stich and then chain three, and then 2 DC. It seems to twist to the left (counter clockwise). I don' think the pattern said to chain 3 and then turn. Maybe that is what is wrong. If anyone can give any other suggestions I would appreciate it!

you are working in the round so there would be no chaining and turning. you did right by sl st and then chain 3 to start next round. not sure why you have these problems though.
