Washing

mmouseplus.gifEventually all dyed things fade. However, if the dye struck well and rinsed clean, with gentle hand washing it will retain it's color for quite awhile. It's not llight fast, however, so long exposure to sun will fade it.

 

Nice thing is that a little Kool Aid and hot water will redye the item. :D

I dyed some LB Fisherman's Wool with Kool-Aid a while ago, and then crocheted in into a change purse, and then fulled it. While churning the bucket, I noticed a bit of a pink tinge from dye that had washed out, but the change purse itself is still just as vibrant as it was pre-fulling.
