Thalia Posted September 14, 2017 Hi. I was curious on what items to same during fall time at a local market? I've made multiple things but want to know what sells well right now to make.
redrosesdz Posted September 15, 2017 Welcome to Crochetville! It depends on where you live. Do you live where it turns cold in the winter? Your best answer will come from going to the local market and asking someone who sells crafts. Here's what sells where I live, Pennsylvania... Dishcloths, tea towels with crocheted hangers, small toys, hats, fingerless gloves, scarves, any baby item. Big things, like afghans and shawls, don't sell well around here. Avon Lady Posted September 15, 2017 Welcome to the 'Ville! It's pretty much the same items as redrosesdz mentioned, here in Indiana. Afghans and shawls usually sell only as special orders, because of color preferences, size, etc., so we usually only have a sample of them to show, in case they want to special order something. Good luck--and remember to have fun!!
Granny Square Posted September 19, 2017 Aside from the above, don't forget holiday decor items this time of year, and folks are starting to think ahead for December gift giving - hats, cowls, fingerless mitts (or sets). Red Heart has a bunch of holiday (and other cute) scrubby patterns, which you could also do in cotton as dishcloths (most look bigger than I'd think of as 'scrubbies').
