Names of stitches are not standardized at all. Just do what the pattern says to do. Don't worry about what any other source calls a star stitch. The pattern should have a description of how to do "their" version of star stitch.

Would you please tell us what magazine you are looking at, name and issue?   Perhaps one of us could dig out the instructions for you.

I recognize the pattern but don't remember where in my stash it is.

The written portion of the pattern is only a few words very briefly describing a few rounds here and there on the diagram.

The pattern is made of a center spine of interlocking circles, around them 5 rounds of chain loops, then round 6 has the so called 'star stitch' , which is (I'f I'm reading it right) is the loopy symbol between each group of 6 trebles in every other chain loop.

It certainly has no resemblance to anything I've seen described as a star stitch--actually I think it's a Solomon's knot, or Lover's knot.  I'm not an expert on this stitch as I personally avoid it as I don't like stringy stitches (that's just me), but  you should be able to find more tutorials on it under those names--here's one:.

Nermyna, I'm just going to link other tutorial for lovers' /solomon's knot in case it may be helpful.

Designer Vashti Braha tutorial http://crochetpatterncompanion.blogspot.com/2014/08/how-to-crochet-love-knot-part-1-of-3.html

this one shows a good way to hold the stitch http://crochetwithpassion.wordpress.com/2013/10/09/solomons-knot-tutorial/

And, just so you know, the stitch that is now usually called star stitch http://www.crochetspot.com/how-to-crochet-star-stitch/

is also called marguerite stitch http://www.mooglyblog.com/star-stitch-marguerite-stitch/

(because it looks like the flower http://www.bhg.com/gardening/plant-dictionary/annual/marguerite-daisy/ )

The Crochet Monthly magazine may have some stitch explanations at the front or back of the magazine, if the magazine still has all its pages.

Nermyna, we're always happy to help with crochet problems, but we have to do so within the bounds of copyright law. This means that scanned images of copyrighted patterns cannot be posted to our forum, unless we have permission from the copyright holder (designer, publisher, etc.).

I've had to remove the scanned images from the original post. It would be great if you could edit that post to add information about where the pattern was published. That way, if somebody has the book, magazine, or pattern, they can look at their original and try to help you.

Don't worry about having made this mistake. It happens a lot with new members, and we never hold it against you. :)
