Yarn suggestions.

Can anyone suggest a brand of yarn/type that I can use - the pattern calls for laceweight? Not having any luck at my local AC Moore - all I can find is worsted or bulky weight.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Your best bet is to buy it online. Laceweight yarn is seldom to be found in the usual craft shops, I've found. For a very affordable and nice laceweight, Knit Picks can't be beat, but it comes in hanks which means you will have to wind it into balls before you can work with it. They have several really nice ones, ranging from 2.99 on up, check them out.

 

Beyond that, there really is no good substitute for laceweight that I know of. It is a very thin yarn.

I agree, Knitpicks has good inexpensive laceweight yarn. I crocheted a mesh scarf with it and it's really soft.

Also check out knitpixie.com for some nice laceweights at reasonable prices.
