You know you can take most any pattern, even granny squares and use a lighter yarn such as baby yarn and it'll be a much lighter afghan. You just have to increase the size and/or number of squares.

I just looked up the first link that Empress posted and that afgan was gorgeous!!!!!! I can't ever remember my user/passwords (or where I write them down) so I couldn't download the pattern.
