The bucket style hat comes from here I followed the guys version as when I did the girls it looked funny/weird.. And the baseball style came from here now I found another pattern by her for the same hat done in single crochet so you maybe look into that as well... Hope you guys have lots of fun creating the hats.. The lady at my work has as small head 20-21 inches so I used a H hook on the baseball cap from the row 7-20 that starts just individual HDC down to make it tighter to her head as when using just the I hook it was tooooo big baggie on her head..

Thanks for everyone's help getting this hat created it was very hard for me to figure out.. I may need to make it smaller in size for the person I made it for since she has a thin hair...I will keep you posted after she tries it on.

Oooh, I love them all. But I agree, the white hat is the best! I love how simple it is, and it can be easily dressed up. Maybe with a little flower for a pop of color, or a small bow. or a little belt to go around it. Too cute!

I found another granny hat pattern and whipped it up what do you guys think I think I prefer it in a darker color?? I have a 22 inch head and it still seems big on me as well as the styro head what do you think? I also removed 1 row of granny stitches as when I completed it. It was too long over the ears..

Thanks for the link to the granny hat pattern. I am looking for hat patterns. I am committed to making 8 hats during the olympics...so always nice to find some new patterns!

I have been working with this beanie hat pattern I came across here on crochet ville someone suggested and I have (taken 2 patterns the granny style hat and the beanie and merged them for a better fit still need to tweak but it's looking better :O)

 

The 2 pink hats one is made with Worsted Weight RHSS Yarn and the lighter pink is made with Caron Simply Soft Yarn...using the

 

The Granny style (in off white and purple) is a combo of this pattern and the beanie pattern so what do you guys think of the new pattern combo??? the reasons I like this combo is the hat fits alot better then then one I did previously that seemed too big on me and yesterday I FROGGED 4 hats trying to get the original to not be so huge on my 22 inch head even with at I or an H hook still looked weird/too big on my head I prefer a hat that doesn't just sit on your head I prefer a hat that will stay on your head..
