Pom-Pom Fashion yarn

A neighbor has asked me to make a scarf with Pom-Pom fashion yarn. I had not seen this yet, very interesting stuff.

 

For anyone who has worked with it, you know that it is interesting to work up. I am trying to find some patterns to give me stitch ideas for this scarf. Any ideas?

Is that like the Pomp-a-Doodle yarn? I haven't seen any specific fun stitches using it but I've seen a couple of scarf patterns using it.

the yarn does not lend itself to "fun" stitches...it is really intended for basic stitches to make edgings or accents. A basic scarf made of this yarn could be done in single crochet...i know boring but you will find that the majority of pompom yarns allow one or two sc between pompoms

It does appear to be a great edging yarn.

With sc it will sure be a thick scarf!!! Still looking around, but that may be what I end up having to use.
