Half Double Baby Blanket

Materials:

3 skeins Loops & Threads Charisma (109 yards/skein)

K hook

Tapestry needle for weaving ends

Gauge not critical for this pattern

Pattern is a multiple of 3+1 for turning

 

Blanket is approximately 33in x 33in square (ish) after blocking

 

Instructions:

Ch 76

Row 1: hdc in 2nd ch from hook & each ch across (75 hdc)

Row 2: ch 1, turn. hdc in first hdc of row, *ch 1, skip next hdc, hdc in next hdc* repeat from * to * across, ending with hdc in last stitch (38 hdc & 37 ch 1 sp)

Row 3: ch 1, turn. hdc in each st & sp across (75 hdc)

Row 4 - 46: Repeat Row 2

Row 47: Repeat Row 3

Row 48: Repeat Row 2

Row 49: Repeat Row 3

 

Weave in all ends, machine wash in Dreft or other hypoallergenic detergent. Spin dry for 5 minutes on Med-High heat. Block while still damp.

You can easily adapt this pattern to any length or width. Just add multiples of 3+1 for turning when chaining to make it wider and do more repeats of Row 2 until desired length is reached.

 

*** If you use the yarn listed, you will use ALL of the 3 skeins. There will not be any left over, so make sure you only leave enough of a tail to weave in after each skein change. ***
