Granny Square purse in blue

Here's my version of the Granny Square Purse using the pattern in the "Cozy Crochet" book by Melissa Leapman.

 

I used Plymouth Wildflower yarn (the same yarn used in the pattern). This was really a dreamy yarn to work with, although it occasionally splitted. And I ran into 2 knots in the yarn where loose ends were tied. That's a pet peeve of mine.

 

Also, the pattern called for 2 balls of Plymouth Wildflower in each color. I didn't even use one ball of each color. And the purse is the correct gauge; so I recommend buying only one ball in each color. I keep running into this problem....grrrr....

 

Of course, I haven't assembled the purse yet, because I need to buy lining...and then there's that sewing thing... and buttons... yuck.
