Crocheted Door Snakes

I suppose these would go under Home Decor?

 

The two varigated ones I made a long time ago for our old house, which would get very cold in the winter and we had large gaps under the bedroom doors. So we used these to try to keep some heat in the bedrooms.

 

The tan one with the brown stripes I just finished this morning. I started it a couple weeks ago when we decided that a) the varigated ones didn't go with our living room/foyer and b) using 2 snakes to cover the gap on one door wasn't practical. The hubby goes "can you make one in brown?"

 

Brown... just brown.. no other colors, no other variation...

Some stash diving found a skein of tan and a tiny little ball of chocolate that I still had leftover from the slightly bigger tiny ball of chocolate I used on a granny square center.

I never thought of crocheting snakes but obviously it can be done. These are neat, Shelly!

I thought about putting tongues on them too but our kitten already likes dragging them away from the door. The tongues would be just even more temptation for her!
