switching yarn

I've been doing Barbie outfits out of cotton thread for the past few weeks. Well, I decided to make some dishcloths yesterday as some of mine were getting too worn (holes) Well, the cotton yarn for the dishcloths felt like I was using bulky yarn compared to the cotton thread. It drove me nuts. When I first started doing the barbie clothes, I couldn't stand the cotton thread. Now I really like working with it. Go figure!

thread is addicting! and I agree, going from one to the other can drive a person nuts.

I switch back and forth with the weather. When it's cold, I'm using thicker yarns for afghans and sweaters and such. Then the warmer weather creeps in and I have to switch to thinner yarns and threads to keep from getting too hot. The first couple of weeks during both changes is awkward as I get used to the different size.

Your hands and brain just need a little time to adjust. It's actually kind of restful to work with different sizes to me.
