Crocheting 4 Dummies

Anyone use that one? I am picking it up from the library tonight and have the Idiot's Guide 2 Crocheting on request. I am trying to teach myself as much as I can. Finally got the loop and chain down, not onto learning the different crochets!

I have it but haven't used it. But let me know what ya think. My older sis works at the company that publishes it (and Knitting for Dummies; Wiley is the pub) and I'll happily pass along any problems, praises, suggstions for improvement...

If you are looking for some help in learning on how to crochet try this on line source Stitchguide It has vidoes of how to do different stitches. And they have other needle crafts like knitting. I used it alot when I was learning. Good luck!!

I have it. I'm a beginner too, and I have found it to be very helpful.

I like it too. I got it from Santa:sheepxmas last year and it has been a valuable reference book.

Well, I really like Knitting for Dummies, so I imagine this book would be as useful.

I have this book, and definitely recommend it. Trying to make a plain granny square made absolutely no sense to me, until I got this book. I'm still a fairly new crocheter, too. One habit I do have; I love to have books on whatever subject or hobby I'm interested in, so since Christmas I have well over 20 books and leaflets on crochet. But, I can almost always find an answer to a question I may have in at least one of them. I guess this is my long winded approach to saying, "Buy it. You can never have too many crochet books!"
