Baby Hat and Scarf

I recently made my four year old niece a hat and scarf set. Usually I bring my crochet into work and do it between calls as long as I answer the phone I can do what I want between so it's a good opportunity to get some crochet done.

 

My colleague saw what I had done and loved it. He was going to the christening of his niece and still had bought a gift. With less than one week to the christening he asked me if I could do the hat and scarf in a smaller version to fit a baby; he wanted it in exactly the same wool as I made my niece's hat and scarf.

 

The hat I originally made is the one with the rose on the side. I also made the hat with the post stitches to use up some of the left over wool plus at this time of year a baby can never have too many hats
