Materials:

Worsted Weight yarn

2 Poney Beads (for Eyes)
Polyfil
Yarn needle (to weave in ends)

Finish Size: About 2 ½”h (5”inches counting tentacles) x 1 ½”w (almost 8” inches across bottom tentacle to tentacle)

Directions:

Octopus Top:

Rnd 1: Ch2 leaving a tail, 5 sc in 2nd chain from hook crocheting over tail.
(5sc)

Pull tail taut to close hole from starting.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each of the next 5 sts.
(10sc)

Rnd 3: [2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st] Do this 5 times.

Octopus Bottom:

Rnd 1: Ch2 leaving a tail, 5 sc in 2nd chain from hook crocheting over tail.
(5sc)

Pull tail taut to close hole from starting.

(10sc)

Rnd 3: [2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st] Do this 4 times, 2 sc in each of the next 2 sts.
(16sc)

Joining:
Line up Bottom Part of Octopus with Top Part. Join the 2 parts together working a sc thru both thicknesses (by inserting hook in a sc of Rnd 3 on Bottom Part before inserting hook into a sc of Rnd 8 on Top Part when working a sc) until there is a small opening, finish stuffing octopus and then finish joining the 2 parts together.
(16sc)

Tentacles:
[sc in next st, Ch13, sc in 2nd chain from hook, 1 sc in each of the next 11 sts, sl st in next st] Do this 8 times.
(8 tentacles, 8sc, 8 sl sts)

Finish off and weave in ends.

Enjoy!!!!

You make the cutest little toys and I thank you for sharing your talent with us. I have made a few of your little ones for charity pocket toys. You have put smiles on little faces and will keep on doing so thru my hands. Again thanks for sharing.
