I never liked gray or black, always made me think of funerals. I will wear black slacks/jeans with a colorful top though. My favorite is multi-colored tie-dyed T shirts. I don't dress up often (not a "girly-girly"), but if I have to, I go with color. I liked the vest though.

I like gray because having 6 dogs I cannot ever wear black even white is a bad choice too Gray is good since I have black dogs and white dogs
