more yarn for my stash

I'm pretty excited, I got some yarn from the thrift store today. Also found some pretty, colorful yarn at Big Lots. Big Lots also has yarn bagged up, I think they're odd lots, that I "need" to get:)

I have never, ever seen yarn in our Big Lots. I may have to move to Maine.

Big Lots near me in CT have yarn occasionally, sometimes good finds. But I just got back from a trip to Maine to visit my son & his wife so I stopped at two of my favorite "special" yarn shops, Yard Goods in Waterville & Shirley's in Ellsworth. I've been looking for over a year for something to make a shawl for my daughter. She wanted black with a shimmer to it & I wanted something about sock weight to a light baby weight. One of the ladies at Shirley's helped in the hunt & found one ball of Rowan Shimmer in black. We found 4 more tucked way back on the shelf where she found the first one. Now to hopefully hunt down a few more online before I pick a few patterns for my daughter to choose from.
