Sewing it up!

I'm making a little girl's cardigan sweater that is not made in one piece. Usually, I look for patterns that it is in all one piece.

 

So my dilema is what to use to hold the seams together while I sew them up? Straight pins, T-pins or something else.

 

Any kind of hints would be appreciated.

I used yarn needles last project, but have used twist ties, clothespins, etc.

I found a package of 30 itty bitty (about 1/2" or so) plastic claw hinged type of hair clips at the dollar store, they work great if the fabric isn't too thick.
