Slip Stitch Hooks!

Recommended Posts

Just made a set of slip stitch hooks and they're up for bids in my blog.

So what makes a slip stitch hook different from an ordinary hook? Welp, according to some slip stitch aficionados, a slip stitch hook needs to be pointy, but not sharp. I expect they'd do regular crochet just fine, but should shine for slip stitch projects.

You can see them and bid, if you like, in my blog. Just click on the picture box below this post and you'll be whisked away to the front porch.

Thanks!!

Thanks! It was a fun project, making a series of hooks from a single branch. Thunder Plum is an ornamental tree that you find around here quite a bit, and the wood is really nice when allowed to cure. Too bad that it changes color though. The heartwood is bright pink when its "green", but I'm not disappointed in the color that it changed to with aging. Kinda opposite to me. My hair used to be dark and now its white. go figure eh
