Love Knot Shawl

I have just completed a Love Knot Shawl using the Garnstudio pattern 87-05 from their website (American style pattern).

Initially their attached stitch diagram was a confusing array of squares together. I have attached my own stitch schema which shows the row numbers. Hope that it will help someone as the Love Knot is a beautiful stitch, but a little confusing to know how to start it. At the close of each row, one completes the square, and from row 3 on, you always double back your stitch to start the next row. The advantage of this pattern, is that one starts out at the apex of the shawl, and works outward, and consequently, one can stop at any time, and fit the shawl appropriately. I used a much finer yarn and a smaller Love knot, about 15 mm in length. I found a 12 mm knitting needle a big help in the beginning to help with guage.
