Bottle Cozy - Tunisian in-the-round

I found myself in need of more bottle cozies, which is good because I really like making them! So, I thought I'd try something different and made this cozy using the Tunisian in-the-round technique. (It required a double-end hook)

I love how it turned out; I'm going to have to make even more!

(I used Bernat Handicrafter cotton, a 5mm regular hook for the bottom, and a 6mm double-end hook for the Tunisian part)

that is clever. I didnt know you could do tunison in the round.

Yep! You lift the loops on with one end of the hook, then turn and work the loops off with the other end (using a second ball of yarn), and just keep working around in a spiral.

I must try that if I can find a double headed hook. You could make some really cool things - bags, etc. What did you do for the base?

I used my standard base for bottle cozies; I figured since I'd already figured out the measurements and gauge, why reinvent the wheel?

For my 710ml bottles I do this for the base:

Rnd1: 12 dc

Rnd 2: 24 dc

Rnd 3: *sc sc 2sc* repeat (32 sc in total)
