I will try to answer now and see if I lose it......yes I have been to vegas before but only for about 12 hours. I would like to go back again and see some of the shows/exhibits/stores/museums and I might even find a :yarnstore or a goodwill :lol:lol

I am excited about the new carpet although each room will be a different color as we were somewhat limited on selection as it is a going out of business sale. But like I told DF it doesn't bother me that each room is a different color as long as the stairs and hallway are the same color and they will be carpeted in blue.

I would like to try to get the bedrooms painted before the carpet is put down, and maybe I can get it done as the carpet layers are booked up until about January. So we shall see.

The austin powers bathroom should be completed tomorrow. DF wanted to rest tonite and I don't blame him. He has to work a half a day tomorrow and then will be able to help me finish :yay

What do you have left to do in your "A.P." bathroom? it sounds really fun!

I need to do my bathroom over, too... all in time, I guess.

We are at the point in this house that things are starting to go. One after the other.

LOL I was trying to do that too but the internet connection wouldn't let me

I was over responding on the thread about the little boy who has some kind of cancer and his family is celebrating christmas with him in the next week or so and the little boy has requested that he get as many cards as he can. I have a card ready for him from me, DF filled one out for him and DS and his friends all signed a card for him. I set them out so I can swing by the PO tomorrow morning on the way to the grocery store.

do you have a place in mind to stay in Vegas? You can get some really good deals down there. We usually stay at the Golden Nugget. It's near the "downtown" area that you see in the movies. And they have a Starbucks right there in the casino!

If the weather is super nice tomorrow like it was today, I need to get the mirror washed and then taped up so I can spray paint it a true blue color. I got one of those wooden cabinet/organizers that goes over the toilet and it needs to be assembled, all the towel holders and toilet paper holders need to be hung. The bench needs to have the wallpaper border removed and then cleaned up. The faucet needs to be changed, the curtains need to be hung and the shelf that holds a blow dryer/curling iron needs to be hung. That bathroom only has one plug in it and it doesn't work so DF has to fix that too and attatch a power strip to the bottom of the blow dryer shelf. And I think that is about it. He has already installed the new toilet as the old was absolutely horrid :lol. It had a crack down the back of the tank that someone somehow repaired to keep it from leaking it was just comical.

the good part about chat here is that whoever couldn't make it can catch up on Saturday morning. we don't all make it every week, like this week Shannon, Stacy and Joanne couldn't make it, and Colleen only could stay for a little bit. but tomorrow they will catch up.

what are the colors of your other rooms?

DS is taking DF's bedroom suite and we are going to use mine as I have a queen sized bed and his is only a double. DS wants his room painted in a gray as his carpet is a navy blue, hunter green, marroon marble pattern. The craft room carpet is a beige color burber with specks of green and marroon in it but not real noticeable, but I am going to paint that room purple and yellow and a very light shade of blue. I saw that combo in a leaflet from the paint place. Our room the carpet will be a beige color (I think) lol so I am not sure about that room yet. And then the small room will have a beige color I think, GEEEEEESSSSSSHHHHH I can't remember. And I am undecided on a color for that room too. The hallway is a grayish blue carpet with a few color flecks in it. So it will be painted a light neutral color. All the carpet is neutral colors with the exception with DS's and the hallway.

That is true, I didn't think about that. It is nice that they can all catch up with what is going on.

that sounds like a nice pallete! How big is your craft room? Does it have a big Yarn closet?!

I wish I had a space, but with 3 bedrooms and 4 kids, it ain't happenin':lol ...as it is, the family room in the lower level is now the "master suite"

how the heck did they fix the toilet?

Are you going to share after pics?

:shrugOMG I don't have any clue how they fixed it. It was so scary:ohdear:scared looking I didn't even examine it or use that toilet. I told DF first day I was here that toilet had to go and 3 days later the new one was installed. You had to jiggle the handle to get it to flush and sometimes it wouldn't even flush then. I wasn't going thru all that hassle just to flush a toilet so I always went upstairs :lol. I did take before pics but after the new toilet was in place and I will take after pics and post them here for you all to see as it is a drastic change from what it used to be :rofl

The craft room is 11x18, DS's room is 18x 12, our room is 18 x 14 the small room is 11x10 and the hall is 3 1/2 by 18. The craft room is also gonna be a spare room also, with just a double bed and a chest of drawers and a tv. It does have a closet but not quite as big as my last one. But DF is going to install some kind of shelving for all my yarn. I may put the double bed in the small room and put the day bed in the craft room just to allow me more room to craft :lol

NO she went home the nite before we left to go back to TN. She was taking us to the airport and needed her boyfriend/father of the kids to watch them so she could take us. DF said she does this all the time. She leaves him for a couple of days and then goes back, just like she needs a break from him. She is 25 and he has a DS that is 22 or 23 I think. And then his oldest son would be 27 but passed away a few years ago with viral spinal meningitis. My oldes ds Jason will be 19 next month and youngest DS Josh is 15. NP I don't mind answering questions for you. I am glad you missed me and even happier that ur glad I am back :hug

that's what I would do, too! All that yarn needs it's own room!

NO KIDDING, :rofl The good thing about having all the yarn is that the scraps and old yarn and partial skeins I got at the thrift stores is great for charity giving and for the snuggles to the animal shelter. Although some of it is in terrific shape for making blankets for the DGC and kids. My other stash that is coming from TN is mostly all new skeins that I bought on clearance at HL, Michaels and Joann's. Needless to say, it will all good used some how or the other. The bad thing is I have been organizing and sorting and rolling the yarn that I got at the thrift stores, but having to roll the balls by hand as my yarn winder is loaded on the truck coming from TN. I did roll a lot of it and got it put in baskets so that makes it nice. :lol Poor DF was digging around the house and basement trying to find enough baskets to put all these scrap :yarn in.
